The Suffering of the Jews and the Evil of the Nazis

The suffering of the Jewish people in the ghettos and death camps is almost incomparable to any other atrocity committed to our fellow man. They endured everything from living in confined quarters, to being killed no in the most humane way but the cheapest way.

Even before World War I the Jewish people faced hardship. Since the death of Jesus Christ they have been prosecuted, especially in Europe. Prejudice and immoral acts had been committed against the Jewish people for over 1900 years before the time of Hitler.

During the first stages of World War I the suffering for the Jewish people grew even greater. The Nazis forced them into small ghettos, where the Jewish people were crowded in small houses and given just enough food to survive. It was a routine thing for S.S. soldiers to march into these ghettos and open fire on any of the Jewish people they saw. If you think this is bad the Jewish people were just here to wait until they were brought to the Nazi prison camps.

Everything about the prison camps was horrible, even the trip there. The Nazis would come to the ghettos and round up a large group of Jewish people. The Jewish people would be packed into a truck and anyone not in the truck was forced to run behind it. If anyone running fell no one could help them p, and the soldiers would shoot them on sight. When the truck reached it destination, the train station, the Jewish people would be packed, standing up into a boxcar, there was not even any room to sit. The train ride would last for days and many people died on the ride because we were not fed or given water. When we got off the train the terror really began.

The Jewish people were divided into two groups. One group was the young fit men, and the other was the women, children, old, and sick. The later group was immediately brought to the gas chamber and killed, but they were the lucky ones. The men were forced to work in awful conditions, and were poorly fed. The men worked just long enough, about three months, for them to become weak, and thus useless. They then joined the women and children to be gassed. The men that did the particularly awful jobs like cremating the bodies of their dead brothers were promised more food and their lives, but the Nazis were deceiving them.

Some of the most heinous crimes known to man were committed in these holocaust concentration camps. The Nazis showed here that they were truly a disgusting, evil race. What an awful life it must have been for the Jewish people.

How are people so evil? Everyone that isn’t evil seems to be clueless to what they are doing.
