Fear, was a great tool in Hitler’s arsenal. Really he had no need to kill very many people. Everyone knew he would, and so they didn’t try to stab him in the back. When Hitler saw someone that he was even suspicious of he would simply have them killed. If they disagreed with any of his ideas he’d have them killed. If he thought they were plotting against him, you guessed it. They were killed

People outside his party he dealt with accordingly. He wasn’t stupid, and knew he couldn’t just go around killing everyone, so I would expect he had less upfront ways, not necessarily any nicer, but different.

Hitler showed clear retaliation against the Jewish people when a Jewish boy shot The Third-Secretary of Germany in Paris. The Nazis had waited for their chance and leapt at this one by destroying synagogues and shops of the Jewish people. Now how many ambassadors were assassinated after that? Hitler was a political genius and this was one of the ways he showed that fact off.

You also have to take this attack on the Jewish people in context. Anti-Semitism was at an extreme high; this act further alienated the Jewish people from the rest of Germany, and when you make one group feel like that the group that isn’t alienated feels like more of the group. Hitler also forced the group closer together; by killing off important people within the party he forced the people under them to turn to him instead.

Through all of these acts Hitler once again demonstrated his political savvy. Even though he was a murderer, racist and cheat, no one can accuse Hitler of being a bad politician. He did almost everything right. He gave the people what they wanted, demanded respect, and was a great public speaker, what else can you ask for?

I can only imagine how the person who shot the ambassador of Germany must have felt. He gave the Nazis a good excuse to lash out at the Jewish people. It goes to show you how any little thing can have a great effect.

During the depression the rich were poor, and the poor were really poor. Where was there to go except up? Why were people willing to join the Nazi party? There are really two main reasons.

First of all they wanted to believe that the Nazis could help. They said sure the Nazis can create financial balance. Sure they can make everyone happy. Sure, it is the Jewish people faults we’re all broke. Why wouldn’t they believe it? They were completely surrounded by Nazi propaganda.

Secondly it was the man behind, and in front of the Nazi party, Hitler. He was a great public speaker, convincing people of his views. He was like a charismatic, religious figure; whatever he says must be true. How could it not be? He had a hypnotizing aura about him. He was one of those natural leaders who people instinctively follow because they see him as strong.

I don’t think under these circumstances people really had any other choice. As I said before they had nowhere else to turn, everyone else had failed them. During extreme times people take extreme stances on extreme issues. It’s just simple human nature, the way we are.

The propaganda of the Nazi parties holocaust timeline was working great. People saw the mask and thought it was what was true. They blamed the Jewish people. They thought the Nazis could save them. No one can deny that the Nazi propaganda was convincing, if it wasn’t then so many people would not have been taken in by it.

This section is another good example of good people falling prey to evil people. Why do we seem to not be able to see through these people? It’s one of the great mysteries of mankind.
