The first reason for success is one man, Hitler.  Hitler single handedly formed the Nazi party.  He was all that they had.  In a time when people were thought to follow, he chose instead to lead.  He used all of his abilities to his advantage, and hid his weaknesses expertly.  He used his wits, charms, and interpersonal skills to his full advantage; He realized the power of the people, and of propaganda.  Never before and never since has any country ever seen someone so polluted be accepted, and even loved by so many people.  Hitler was a great man for sure, but not a good man.  He demands respect at the very least.

The second reason for Germanys success was World War I.  The people were hurt deeply by the war, and they took it personally.  They came up with the what ifs.  What if I had have done more?  What if I had have fought?  They were offered a scapegoat, the Jewish people, and so they took it.  Germany was not a happy place for anyone and the only way out was to fight their way out so they did.  You could even argue that the war was inevitable do to the circumstances.

Why did the Germans ultimately fail?  When people decide to resist, and fight for what they know is right, although poorly portrayed by the media, good always will triumph over evil.  It may seem like a bit fluffy, but never has evil been able to control the good will of people and that is why it never will triumph over good.

Racism, and hatred are no longer acceptable in our society, and when things start to lean away we need to give ourselves a reality check and say what are you doing.  We can never be afraid to stand up for what is right; it’s the meaning for everyone’s existence.  May the day never come were our children don’t know that these are the ways that we need to act.

May the day never come when we are completely desensitized to the feelings of others.  I feel now more complete for having done this project.  Holocaust timeline It truly has been a life altering experience.  I have already seen changes in my life.  Judging others is futile, because they are judging you right back.  Look apon their differences and celebrate that they might rejoice in your differences as well.

Hitler an the Nazis believed that the Jewish people were a weaker race then the Arians, and that they were holding Germany back from achieving its full potential. He said that they were parasites preying on the good will of the Germans, and that the Germans actually had to stand up to them.

Hitler also said that the Jewish people were a plague. Fearing this plague required extermination for the survival of their families. If a group of people were endangering the life of my family I think I would respond the same way as the everyday German people.

“The Jewish people are plotting behind our backs” was another excuse why the elimination of the Jewish people was necessary. “They are out to ruin us.” The Germans actually thought that the Jewish people were out to get them for no reason.

The final reason Hitler gave for the extermination of the Jewish people was that they forced Germany to go to war. No one really wanted to go to war and if your husbands, brothers, sons and friends were being killed because of something someone else did I would too be enraged.

All of the reasons come down to one; the Germans were scared of the Jewish people. That’s how all racism starts, it is with fear. Fear of being different. Fear of being an outcast. Fear of losing everything. When people get theses fears they have a need and a tendency to pass that blame on to someone weaker then themselves and try to justify it. holocaust timeline

When it all comes down to it the Jewish people did nothing wrong than be different and follow their beliefs, but Hitler and the Nazis used propaganda to its full capability and made it seem like the Jewish people had wronged the Germans.

People are all different. It’s the common bonds that we have that make us truly unique though. A smart white male, is completely different that a smart black male. They are so different yet so the same.

The Nazis were very modern with their use of the media in that they used radio, posters, and used planes to transport their message. These new methods appealed to people, as they hadn’t been used a lot before this. These also appealed especially to the youth because of the modern forums that the Nazi’s techniques were taking.

Germany is a big place with a lot of people, and a radical party, like the Nazis for example, needed the backing of the majority of the people. They did their best to reach and appeal to everyone of German blood.

The Nazis had a lot of things going for them. The economy was thriving, unemployment was almost nonexistent, and everyone was happy. Holocaust time What more do people want from a government, the Nazis had it all covered. People wanted the Nazis and that’s why they were so strong. The Nazis didn’t take the power from the people. The people gave it to them.

Its simple really, but there were a few contributing factors.  First he eliminated other governments.  Of course you have power, popularity, and other things when there is no one to challenge the things you do.  Hitler successfully achieved this, and I have no idea what lead the other government groups to forfeit their power without so much as a second thought.  I suppose fear is a great motivator. 

I think the Weimar government’s biggest problem laid in their open fear of Hitler and the Nazi’s.  Sure they were scary, but it’s the whole bully theory.  If you stand up to a bully he will leave you alone.  Now we know this is often not the case, but what’s worse, to get beat up for standing up for your self or get beat up for your lunch money.

The Weimar government needed to stop retreating and fight back a little bit, they had the power to stop Hitler, but they let it slip through their fingers.  Someone would have come around eventually with the same thoughts as Hitler and succeeded in implementing them, were Hitler stopped, but better later than now, that’s for sure.

For the future I see many great struggles as long as Hitler is in power.  People might perceive things as getting better, but they won’t, just more propaganda will tell them it is.  Inevitably the Jewish people will be the target of much hate and prosecution, and they will receive little help from inside Germany.  People will have to stick together and rebel against Hitler before anything will get better.  Eventually the wool shall be lifted from people’s eyes, and they will see the wrong of their ways.

Lucky timing undeniably played a big part in the Nazis success.  Holocaust Timing is everything.  The sad part though is, the timing was when people were most willing to hate someone for no good reason.

Another front the Nazi’s would have to be criticized on is their most powerful tool, Hitler. He’s not a German. By his own teachings he’s not as good as us, he’s of the weaker people. How can he be trusted? He doesn’t have our best interests in mind. How could they deny this? Really no one could. In a struggle to keep Hitler from power it would turn into a vicious mudslinging campaign, and in his mental state I have no doubts he would retaliate showing the people what he’s really about. What would he do, send in the storm troopers? That would remind people of the war and re-emphasize my first point of how Hitler is nothing but a warlord.

Not everyone has fallen for the propaganda of the Nazi’s. Not everyone is that gullible. I’d try to make sure that people saw the lies behind what Hitler was saying. I’d simply tell the truth. Hitler can do nothing about the economy; it is the Americans’ problem. We need to simply all work hard for Germany, making it rich. Noting else will improve our economic situation. We must pay for our country with our own sweat. Will Hitler do go take our spot in the fields or in the factories? No! We must do it ourselves.

All it would take is to expose one lie and people might finally see Hitler for the liar he truly is. Just one gust of wind could topple his entire tower of cards.

Ahh yes. We here are reminded yet again by the people that do resist the Nazi movement that not everyone is foolish enough to be fooled by the tyrants of the world. Thank God for that.

Through the depression Hitler just did what politicians do best. He told people what they wanted to hear. If you were a farmer, you were doing a great service to your country. If you were a worker, how marvelous your part in the shaping of Germany was, and the only thing standing between you and riches was the government. To the rich he promised more riches, to the hungry food, and so on.

He convinced the un-employed people that he could help them get jobs. The Jewish people are taking your jobs, he probably would have said. How can someone hungry and unemployed not want to believe him? For them he really couldn’t make things any worse. He played to people’s desires and when you tell something they want to believe, a lot of the time they do believe it.

No one really had economic reasons for following Hitler, the American stock market had collapsed, and he couldn’t do anything about it. It just happened. People just weren’t educated enough to realize that. They had been told all their lives to follow without question, and there has never been such a blind faith than people of this time had in Hitler.

Hitler is man that you have to respect, even if you do think he is evil. His ideas have shaped the world more than anyone before him. He could have done the holocaust timeline world a great service but instead he chose evil. What is it that makes evil so attractive, I think it’s the mirage of power that is has. People want what evil has to offer they simply don’t realize that that power is unattainable.

Now Hitler, there was a bad guy. I mean the if the Nazis were jerks then Hitler was the King of the Jerks. What person has ever had so much hate for a group? I think Hitler probably even convinced himself that he was in the right, but I’m sure deep down he knew he wasn’t, I mean he wasn’t stupid. Everyone knew that his ultimate goal wasn’t to bother the Jewish people, or make them feel bad. No, he wanted them dead, and if given the power, and opportunity, then he probably would have killed them all himself. When they arrested him they had many things to look at. Would he threaten the Government through a show of military power? Maybe, he hadn’t done so as of yet, but that doesn’t mean it was beyond him if it came down to it.

There are a few things that could happen if they kept Hitler in jail. Holocaust timeline His radical friends and colleagues could rebel and try to free Hitler from prison. Also if he is jail he could continue to aid the Nazis, even from the inside of a cell, telling them it’s the Jewish people fault he is in prison. No I think the only really good solution is public execution. What’s the worst that could happen? His closest friends might rebel, but not all of them as his death would be very disheartening. I think this would have been the best avenue for the Weimar Government to take.

Things here in Germany are growing worse by the day.  The Nazi’s hate propaganda, and meaningless acts of violence are horrifying, and what’s worse, their ranks are swelling steadily by the day.

Today I witnessed a speech by a man by the name of Hitler.  It was truly horrifying.  There were thousands of people congregating and so I decided I’d go see just what was happening.  As it turns out I had stumbled in on a Nazi rally, where the man I mentioned, Hitler, was going to speak.  At first it was fairly peaceful.  Hitler spoke some on his 25-point program.

The 25-point program is something Hitler is trying to implement in Germany, basically striping foreigners and Jewish people of many of their freedoms.  Saying that no person not of German blood can be considered a member of the state.  This accordingly takes away basic necessities.  For example things like food, in times of famine will not be given to foreigners or Jewish people.

After Hitler had finished this he grew a little more passionate when he got on the topic of the war.  He said it was a disgrace to Germany, and pinned the blame for the loss on the non-patriotic nature of the Jewish people.  He said had they fought along side of the Germans instead of aiding the enemy victory would have been inevitable.  I later asked around and no one could think of any Jewish people who had aided the enemy, the people I asked said they just knew the Jewish people did.

The roar of the mass of people grew almost deafening when Hitler began to scream about how the Jewish people hated the Germans and how they were all plotting behind the backs of the people of Germany.  He called on the people to try to “convince” the Jewish people to aid the land that they were being “allowed” to live in by any means necessary holocaust dates.  Everyone was yelling and screaming, chanting Hitler’s name over and over.  I felt quite fortunate to escape with my life.

Things in Germany grow worse by the day and if I had the money I would return home immediately.  I fear soon there will be complete chaos and they will sweep through the towns killing anyone not of “true German blood” that they can find.  This frightens me immensely.
