Again the USSR… Fair enough though, Britain was a world power in the form of their Empire which spanned 1/4 of the globe.(especially in the form of 1 million Indian soldiers) And i’m not soo sure Hitler was aware. He believed he could ally with Britain and rule Eastern Europe as the ‘New India’ (Read Mein Kampf – a hateful but helpful book.) He even had assurances from Ribbentrop, the ambassador to Britain, that she would never enter the war (a costly mistake.)

The true reason behind the German initiated Nazi/Soviet pact is still a matter of great debate but the argument is soundly put.

This, i’m sorry is purely funny. “He then would have conquered all of Europe, and effectively the entire world.” Is Europe, per chance, the entire world? There is Asia, Africa, The Americas, The Pacific, Oceania and there is the matter of his Italian, Romanian, Hungarian etc allies. I’m sure they would still have put up a weeny bit of resistance, even after the USSR would have fallen.

Two perfectly valid points as to why he lost the war – but he was also losing the economic battle. As to the passing the buck after losing campaigns (e.g. Stalingrad) I do not know enough to make a comment -so won’t.
